Been fun guys

After 60 years I'm done with farming... between gas, feed and forced health insurance prices I'm not feeding anything that doesn't pay for itself. If someone here close is looking for Marans, we have 27 chicks between 1 and 6 weeks old that are on the block, along with a 5' double brooder and various other odd and ends.

Best of luck to you all,
Wing

Ah, Wingdo, I'm sorry.

I wish you and your family all the best. Make sure you still poke your head in here once in a while, okay?

{hug}

In 2005 you taught me so so much--keep in touch as you have knowledge.

Wishing you & your family all the best & hope things get easier for you. Like the others have said please stick your head in every once in awhile & hang out. You can always still help others with your knowledge.

Hi Wingdo,
Put those chickens on the Barter board. There is someone on there now looking for Marans eggs to hatch. They are in S. Carolina but maybe you could work something out. Here's a link to their post:

Wanted: hatching eggs

If you love to farm it's tough to stop. You know once you get dirt in your blood you can't get it out!

Of course, without farming you might have more time to write us some stories.

Hope things get better for you,
SBJ
