Does copper oxide go bad?

I've got a big jar of copper boluses and it has an expiration date on the jar.

Do they really go bad?

Unless exposed to good amounts of other chemicals/chemical fumes, I'd imagine they are just fine for an extended shelf life.

I'm thinking it doesn't have a shelf life, but a half life. .

Copper, as long as it doesn't react with anything else, will remain copper forever, and then it's still copper ......ide. I'm betting the expiration date is more about the gelatin capsule than the copper itself. They do degrade and fall apart.

Yeah I'll bet it is the capsule because once the copper is oxidized it's already oxidized. Thanks.
