Newest GM Soap

I shared this on the soapmaking board, but I'm so happy with it, I thought I'd share here, too, since it is made with goat milk, so it's not entirely off-topic. This is our newest soap, and I think it turned out pretty well. It's Orange scented, and I used annatto seeds and calendula petals for color.

That looks pretty enough to eat! What did you use for a mold? I am getting ready to make my first ever batch, maybe this weekend????
Thanks for sharing.

Thank you! I have a wooden mold that my DH made for me. It holds a 5-pound log of soap, and I line it with freezer paper.

I clicked into this thread wondering what the heck Genetically Modified soap was.

Very pretty though. I love citrus scents in soap.

It's gorgeous! Are those orange spot in the ----e part orange peel?

I love orange soaps, but they seem to loose their scent so quickly.

Thank you all for the compliments. I hadn't thought about the "GM"/Genetically Modified issue when I titled the thread.

Aart, the orange spots in the top layer are calendula petals. I thought they looked pretty and give the soap a little more character. I also went pretty heavy on the orange oil trying to make sure the fragrance lasts as long as possible.
