Must. Be. Strong.

I got a Facebook message from a lady who bought two of our doelings last year. She's having some health issues and has to sell her little herd. She wasn't asking me to take them back; she was asking for input on the best way to get the word out. One of the doelings was an absolute sweetheart, and it is taking all of my willpower not to say, "I'll take her!" Of course, if I took her back, I'd have to take her sister, too. That would only be fair. We don't need any more goats. We are already struggling with decisions about who to keep and who to sell this year. Oh, dear!

I was just offered the Dame and Grand Dame to the doeling I have a deposit on. The Dame is not as tame as my hoats, but still nice. The Grand Dame is the Alpha Doe is nice in general, but can be a witch. I keep telling my self no no no.... They are at a fruends farm and she is getting rid of all her horned goats and has offered them to me at a very good deal. NO NO NO
