Talking Camping with Baby Goats and People Kids

Camping was a success! My husband decided he didn't want to listen to my two yahoos yell for yet another bottle all night so they ended up sleeping in the Jeep which is also pretty snazzy accommodations.

We brought in scrap building wood so our pile isn't the prettiest. Little goats still liked running over it though.

Barbequed goat anyone? Little booger burned my hand and his fur against the metal fire pit while I was giving him scratches. He leaned into it too hard.

Their mealtime accommodations. I would have let them run loose the whole time, but we went with another family and instead of going to the middle of nowhere like where we usually go, they went to a campground. 4 wheelers kept speeding by around noon so dogs and goats had to be on leashes.

And here's a bunch of videos that I uploaded to Youtube. Some have goats in them, some don't but they were usually hot on my heels and made cameo appearances in most of them.

Thanks, it was lots of fun and we'll probably go again this weekend my daughters feel left out of all my pictures. Lol, they were napping when I took most of the pictures. I didn't have my camera when we did our little hike with the goats to the lake. So many people wanted to take pictures. Lots of people asked if they were fainting goats and one person laid on his horn obnoxiously just to make sure after asking me but the goats weren't even fazed by it. Also, these boys didn't get the memo that goats don't like water. Hercules waded into the lake for a drink and Otto is currently standing in the plastic wading pool while my kids pour water on him.

Now I have to ask...is it really bad form to name one of our boys after his sire...like really closely named after his sire? Their sire is Koolkidz Wades Otto Octavious and my husband REALLY wants to name a goat Otto Octavious. Lol.

I am teasing my husband that with all of Hercules' name changes we should just throw them all in there Patches Butterscotch BossHog Hulk Hercules. (dam is Koolkidz something or other Daisy-duke)

You are awesome! That looks like so much fun and all the babies are adorable. I laughed when you said someone honked just to make sure they weren't really fainting goats. Those pics and just the idea of bringing bottle babies camping brightened my day when I really needed it. Thanks for posting.
