Sound normal?

I have a FF mini-nubian and she is giving 2 cups at each milking daily. She is 6.5 post-kidding. While it's enough for daily drinking, it does not leave much for cheese or soap. I know her production will increase with the next kidding and i am not at all worried about how much she is currently producing. Just curious.

Does this seem like a normal amount for a mini FF?

6.5 weeks? How many kids did she have?

My Mini-Mancha gives close to a three cups each milking, and she's on her fourth lactation. She gave more when she had quintuplets.

6.5 weeks post-kidding, lol. Guess I missed an important word. She had two kids.

If she has the kids still with her, she's doing great!

No kids are with her. They have been gone for two weeks.

Was she milked before the kids left? Was she raising them?
If she was raising them and not milked she might have been starting to wean them and decreasing her supply. If you can milk her 3-4x a day you may increase her production.

ETA - also if she was raising them and not being milked she could have been "hiding" milk from you when you started milking her and that decreased her supply. Might also depend on what % she is and generation she is.

My Mini Nubian is about 6 weeks fresh now & has twins still on her but I've been separating the babies at night & milking in the morning then I turn the babies back loose with her. I am getting about 1 quart each a.m.
