Now we have sores on the teats!

I posted below with the FF (of 4 days). I milked her yesterday and held her leg while I milked. She has a sore crusty spot on the inside of each teat. DD milked her today while i controlled the legs and after milking (takes 45 min.!!) the blood spots (about a dime size) were bleeding....almostlike the tender skin just slid off. Is this similar to humans as far as taking a while to "toughen up" the nipple for nursing? I took pics but I am on a notebook and can't download then .

Any advice, thoughts?

Could be because it takes so long to milk her and the skin is tender. Wash the blood off and dry well then use bag balm or medicated powder on the sore areas. Be sure teats and hands are dry before starting to milk.
