Couple questions

1) how long do you bottle feed? My new herd sire was born 3/6/13. He has two bottles a day. And free choice hay, and brose.

2)Anyone run sheep and goat together? I give ramplin so i don't have to worry about the minerals.
Anyone have Katahdins? I am looking for meat, easy keepers, not wool production. Something i would not have to sheer would be a plus.

3) another question - what if anything, can sheep pass to goats? Diseases, parasites?

If it is freezer bait, usually 3 months. Future herd sires and doelings 4-4 1/2 months. Some feed longer though.

You can switch to a bucket after a couple of months if they will take the milk from it. Main thing is getting the milk in.
