Good timing...apparently she hasn't read the Doe Code.

Good luck and remember, we need pictures!

Oh dear . Hopefully her mommy instincts start kicking in for you soon. I am thankful she had the baby okay though!

Poor girl we got some colostrum in her not a lot but some. She is pooping and is warm just not thrilled with the bottle, would rather have her mama. I went to plug in my brand new heat lamp...and nothing -.- so we made a blanket out of an old pajama top sleeve and have her in that. She is still bright eyed and is up and moving around at least.. It was kind of a hard birth for mama so am hoping she isn't doing this to the baby because of associating her with pain *sighs*

Congrats on the baby girl. We will need pictures. I hope mama goat changes her mind and lets her nurse!

Well Bit is becoming meaner and meaner to baby as the hours go by. Still will not allow baby to nurse not even when held, she has gone so far as to lay down so little one cant get access. She wil tolerate being milked but just barely. We finally git the little one(gah we gotra name her lol) to willingky suck from the bottle, she didnt take a whole lot but I am taking my small victories where I can get them at this point. I have seen posted somewhere where hand milkers were made from syringe tubes and sprayer tops, I am looking for the stuff, I know I have everything floating around somewhere. Bit has such teeny teats I am afraid I would hurt her with my hands lol

So as it stands I now have a new bottle baby on my hands. Thankfully my Monday-Friday boss is all for my bringing her to work lol. I am limited to cellphone pics so will have to wait until hubby lets me use his phone since his has MUCH better image quality than mine.

So I couldnt resist one crappy pic until I can get a good one. My trailer gets cool at night so we made her a sweater last night will get one of her without the sweater this afternoon.

So here is the teaser pic until later. I was supposed to sell this girl but I dunno, might keep her in case Bit doesnt work out as a mama. I will give her one more try though, so we will see what next year brings.

We are feelin pretty good tonight. Possum(named by hubby) has been doing much better drinking from the bottle. She is taking about 1/4 cup at a feeding which is much much better than she had been doing. She is still lively and pottying like crazy and staying nice and warm. Now if we could explain to our dog she is not a mama goat xD
