How long?

How long will a mamma goat usually call for her babies once they are taken from her? I don't mean if they are taken at birth, but if they are taken a week or so later? Snicket's and Vinnie's boys are leaving Friday, so I have them separated and have been bottle feeding. Vinnie has the most pathetic, desparate yell I've ever heard and it breaks my heart. Snicket is calling also, but she's very quiet...she also still has her doeling, so it's probably not as traumatic for her. My poor girls!

Once the baby is gone and doesn't answer back it should quite down.
