Peachy, day 149, huge, no bag

If Peachy doesn't start bagging up pretty soon..I may sit down and . I would feel much better..this late in the game.. with a hint of bag. LOL..and this is the girl that took FOREVER to dry up!?!

I'm gonna lock her in tonight..just because it's a FULL WORM MOON and our animals seem to like to give birth around a full moon.

How fast can a bag develop? I don't think I've ever had one that was this immature this late in the game.

This year Glennis bagged up a few hours prior to kidding. First time she's done that. OTOH, a couple of the others were so bagged up weeks prior to kidding that I had to milk them to make them comfortable. Took advantage to heat treat the colostrum.

Thanks for telling me about Glennis! Makes me feel better. Went out to check on Peachy this afternoon. She got up and slowly came through the shed door. Um..she rubbed on both sides..hello. But not a lick of bag.

All she wanted to do was play with me and bite at Lucille. She is a spoiled, fat, monster girl right now.

We had a nubian that didn't bag up until she was in labor one year. We questioned if she was even bred! lol She hid that buckling well.

I didn't breed Glennis to kid last yr and long about mid march she bagged up and went to milking. I think goats just do things like that to make us crazy.

I have a friend that had a mini she was sure was bred but when it was almost day 150 she still wasn't that big & no bag. She started questioning herself. She delivered a single on day 152 & her bag still wasn't as big as she thought it should be.

Some rarely don't come into milk until after they deliver.
