First, congratulations!! We also use WADDL and were very relieved to see the good results on testing this year. I do not think that it is so strange to feel relieved to get the good news...all of us know someone or someones who have suddenly been thrown a real loop with bad test results. Just out of the blue their world is turned upside down. People who have tested for years and had excellent reports, people who have closed herds and practice safe procedures for their herds are caught off guard by the bad news. It happens regularly enough to make anyone who owns goats nervous. As I understand it the CAE virus an remain dormant for a very long time and then pop up in a line that has been CAE free for years! That's enough to make anyone nervous. Honestly, when a customer last year asked me could I guarantee that my goats absolutely have no disease I thought for a minute and then said, "No." I explained that we test and that we are closed and that we purchased our original stock from tested herds...but an absolute guarantee...NO!
