We have milk FINALLY!!!
Well, you all know that we lost our 1st doe last yr not long after she kidded so hardly got any milking time on her. We bought her 1/2 sis plus another doeling and raised up the baby doeling so now we have 3. Plus a friend gave me her nice reg'd LaMancha buck who is a total sweetie! Then our yearling doe kidded premie twins who died and we didn't milk her. Our 3 yr old doe had twins and we let them have all the milk at first. Now we are doing the 1 daily milking and keeping kids with her 1/2 the time. This is good for us due to crazy work schedules. We got nearly 1/2 gallon of milk per day from her not including whatever the fatty kids are sucking down. It ws really good and has no strong goaty taste. My hubby is having it on his cereal and I had some in coffee. I will make some yogurt again soon as we all really liked that last time I made some last yr before we lost the other doe.
