Butchering a 10 month old intact buckling

I have a 10 month old buckling that is causing trouble. He is a Nubian Boar Cross. Is he too old to butcher and still taste good? Thanks for any advice.

I've done it before without issue.

Great thanks, I didn't want to waste him. If anything, I can make dog treats!

We did our intact buckling at about the same age last fall. Made regular ground and some breakfast sausage. He was yummy!

I've gotten lazy enough to do little castration or banding and just let those bucklings that we're gonna eat stay in the pasture and graze/browse until I take a mind to butcher them. When I get butchering on my mind, I pen them up and put them on corn for about a month and then do the deed. They always taste just fine. I keep the backstrap out for making small chicken fry steaks and grind the rest. Don't notice a "bucky" flavor.
