...now what will happen?...

Last year I cut the flowers off my Bocking 14 comfrey, placed them in a 5 gal bucket, set the bucket by the water spicket, filled up and left it there for the sunshine to make fertilizer. My plan was to use it this year for "tea" sprays on vegetation.

I have been aware of the water level in this bucket going down from time to time; but I contributed it to the weather/evaporation. Today it is down real low even though the last 2 days have been rainy. This peeked my interest; however, I continued with my chores. Turned around and there was one of my large Nubian does drinking out of that bucket. Anyone know what will happen this will do (has been doing) to her? (She just kidded without complications, has a nice udder and 3 healthy kids.)

I know comfrey can be fed to goats as a supplement, though I don't recall the details. Who knows, perhaps thats why she kidded so successfully!!

I feed my goats comfrey during the growing months...they gobble it up like it's candy. I would think that she should be just fine, but I'm no expert.

Well, with what you're both saying, guess I'll stop worrying about it. I did move that bucket to the garden out of their reach. I was trying to save it to fertilize my veggies/fruits this year...probably still can as it would need to be diluted anyway and there is about 1/3rd a bucket of that liquid left.

Thank you
