Miss Mudge!
I think she might just kid today. Today is 149...she went on 147 last year. This morning, her udder is much fuller than it was yesterday, she wasn't interested in eating...just wanted to get out of the main pen and into the kidding stall. She's doing lots of talking. She seems to be shivering just a tiny bit, so I'm going out to take her temp. If it's lower than normal, should I give her some Oral CalMPK? Anything else?

I would give her the oral CalMPK to be on the safe side.
Wishing you & Mudge an easy delivery & nice, healthy babies!

Thanks...I think I will do that. I wasn't able to get her temperature. There was no way she was letting me mess around back there. She normally lets me do whatever I want. If she doesn't kid soon, I'll have my son go out with me to hold her to get a temp. Last year, she was only in the kidding stall for a couple of hours before she popped out the kids and I missed it. We were out working in the garden building a raised bed when Hubby went to the barn to get something and yelled "I hear baby goats yelling down here". We ran down, and there were two little wet kids on the ground. I was shocked (but glad she did it on her own)!

I gave her 25 ccs and she was not pleased.
I'm going to go back out right now and check on her. I might let her go out with the rest of the girls if she wants to. I kept the rest of them in so she wouldn't be lonely, but she sort of acted like she wanted to go out when I was out there last.

Good luck! Bev is on day 151 and I am ready to squeeze those kids out of her. She is like "what, why do you keep waking me up and grabbing my tail?" Starting to think we will never have kids!!!

Oh, brother...wanna know why she wanted out of the stall?!?!? So she could call Winnie (almost a year old) over to nurse...and she obliged. She sucked one side dry in the 15 seconds it took me to walk over to the hay and grab a flake. Mudge tried to get Vinnie to nurse also, but she didn't seem interested. I hadn't seen either of them nurse for a month or so. I'm imagining that the birthing hormones are what made Mudge do that. Needless to say, I put her back into the kidding stall. She now has just the slightest bit of clear goo.

I'll take the camera out in a bit. I just left them alone because the baby is up and trying to find some lunch and I didn't want to disturb them. Sadly, Mudge doesn't seem like there are any more in there...I was hoping for at least two. Also, I think this one is a buckling, but it's so hard to tell when they are all squished up and wet and new (and I've never seen a buckling in real life). I'll probably end up having to take a picture and post it like last year...hee hee hee!
I'll get pictures in a bit when I go out to weigh the baby (hopefully babies!) and worm Mudge.

If it has 2 belly buttons it's a boy LOL
If you straddle the mom facing the back end and hug her belly right in front of her udder and give a gentle bump up, you will feel the hard parts bounce against your hands when there is another. Hope there is another by now, and it's a girl!
