Spring is coming!

Oh me oh my! Spring is coming in less than 2 weeks and the weather is warming up! We are getting both large goat pens cleaned out this week and getting kidding pens up for our ladies in waiting. I have check lists for all my birthing equipment and getting iodine for dipping (not bottle feeding this year so no worries about that!). I just gave BOSE shots and I start giving grain to two more girls tomorrow, that means the count down is on! We have two does lined up for next week, Ms. Lady is the 22nd and her half sister Ms. Adele is the 23rd. Both girls are first freshening 2yr olds and getting the cutest (might I also add prettiest) udders on them .

I have the 20th through hopefully the 24th off and I am ready for some cute little babies to be bouncing around! I am anxious seeing how the tone of kidding season has been so far on this forum but everyone is looking sleek and sassy (well as sleek as a big waddling preggo doe can get).

We get a break until April when we have a nice line up of does kidding out, Mia starts us off on the 11th with Zoe Bird right behind her on the 12th. My dear sweet Penny is due on the 14th, then we have a few day lull before Rhapsody goes on the 17th with Trinket bringing up the rear the 18th. That will end kidding season for me with a bang and believe it or not I am not keeping even one kid back this year nor am I bottle raising. Everybody is bred to have Mini LaMancha babies so I am not even tempted plus I crossing my fingers for nice easy deliveries.

Justine
