Talking Sneaky Goats! (quickest birth ever!)

Went to grab Sage this morning for milking, and everything was normal. Demi just standing in the shed waiting for food. Get done milking Sage, bring her back to the shed, and there are two kids! A little light (almost white) chamoise buckling, and a dark two-tone doeling. So Demi managed to birth two kids in approximately 15 minutes. So I had to milk her. That was a rodeo. She was jumping all over the place and I did NOT have time. So I pinned her from the side and force milked her. Then came inside, heat treated colostrum and milk, woke hubby up, and left. And made it to work on time. These kids are huge! They make Sage's little doeling look like a dwarf. Pics will come later.

Wow! What a morning, not sure I could have taken care of all that AND made it to work on time.

Can't wait to see the pics!

The buckling is posted on the for sale page. The doeling is reserved, and if they fall through, we are keeping her pretty little self. Man, goats are addicting.

Apparently Demi did this last year too. The people who owned her had friends that wanted to watch. With the friends there she wouldn't so much as push. The second they left the barn she popped them right out. Crazy doe....
