Runty update -- 3/7/2013
She was miserable this morning and throwing her head back, refusing to bear her weight on her right leg & falling to the right when I tried to pick her up.
I'm guessing (hoping) she slept funny because she was fine ewithin about fifteen minutes. I initially left her alone and just watched her and seemed very uncomfortable for a bit, then got better. Do goats have limbs that go to sleep sometimes too.)
She was able to stand on her own (after I picked her up) for about ten seconds and looked better than yesterday. Less 'limp noodle' refusal to try and more 'I don't want to do this, but okay already, if you insist, I'll stand. Okay, look, I stood. Now leave me alone, I'm not trying again.'
Her kid is becoming a royal handful. He's two weeks old and he's already starting to blubber and stomp his feet and flirt like a buck. Coming from a tiny baby half the size of my housecats, and directed at my dogs, it's adorable. However, I forsee a date with a rubber band in his near future!
