New doe, lots of tail wagging

Hello
I haven't been on here in a while, my boys have been kind of boring and since we had no does or kids around...just not much to report. Anyhow, I brought home this really lovely yearling doe a little over a week ago. I'm super happy with her but I'm concerned. The friday I picked her up her little tail was flagging so I have high hopes that she would go into heat. Get her here, lots of flagging, stood for my buck on Sunday. Reasonably sure she's bred. Except she's still flagging that tail. She's not standing for the buck but that seems like a long time to still have that going on. Do they sometimes just have active tails? My buck is very protective of her, not really trying to mount her any longer though.

When I had Kissee, I never saw her go into heat so I don't really have a great idea when that stops and starts but what I've read suggests a few day.

Also, noted that my buck is very protective of her. He's completely excluded his wether companion from their little group. Right now since I have an odd number, I have them together so no one gets lonely. I'm wondering if when she's separately pastured if he'll get back to being friends with the wether.

I should probably add, the breeder bred her with CIDRs last fall, but I guess she "slipped" the pregnancy

She might just like to wag her tail a bit. I notice some of mine do that sometimes when they aren't in heat.

I would think him & wether will be best of friends again after the doe moves to a different pen/pasture.

I sure hope she took for you & you have some nice doelings from her to keep her company.
