Udder pictures. Thoughts please.

I have been such a bad goat mommy with all that is going on I am soooooo behind on updating our website, and facebook page for the farm... heck the Addie Girl Soap's website and facebook too.

These are not the best photos but I would love to know what y'all think.

First is Monkey 2nd freshening and 3 weeks today. I hate her left teat and she has no medial. So what else do you not like or like? She's an okay milker not the best but surely not the worse I have.

Second is Carma FF a month since she freshen. Her orifices could be bigger and she needs more length to her teats but boy she tries hard to give me milk.

And last is Chime will be a month freshen tomorrow. She also is a FF and has awesome orifices. Milks out quickly and has such a wonderful skin texture.

So thoughts please and I know the pictures are horrible but I only had a cellphone on me sorry.

I vote for #3!

Udders seem small for age? Or are the pics milked out???

This is a FF 2y/o I had but she's bagged up.

No they are not milked out but they are also yearlings not 2 year olds. All three were bred before I wanted them to be.

I've been caught out on a few, judging our FF's udders and not waiting for the second freshening. And I've found with ours, that if they freshen with a singleton doeling then the udder can sometimes be small and lacking in milk supply as first fresheners.

What do the foreudders look like on these gals? I've seen worse medials than in that first doe over the years, I wouldn't lose sleep over that.

Oh got you there.

I saw

and I thought the one was 2 years old.

I still like the third pic best.

Which one is giving the most?

What are the fores like?

Carma I do not like her fore udder so far. Chime's honestly there is nothing I hate about her udder but I didnt want barn blindness lol. They all are giving about 1/2 gallon a day and thats because I just cannot afford to pump them full of hay and grain right now (honey got laid off). I will try to get better pictures plus fore udders tonight or tomorrow so you all can see.

Chime certainly has the best rear udder of the group (although it looks like it is holding more milk than the others so that may be to the disadvantage of the others). She has secure rear attachment, a good medial, and decent teat placement. The first two don't appear to have the height of attachment or security of attachment that we see in Chime. Certainly the long medial of the first doe doesn't help.

Wait Monkey is only a yearling and this is her 2nd freshening?? How old was she the first time she kidded?
Chime's is so far the best. The other two have weak attachments. If they're not big milkers it shouldn't be an issue but as they gain capacity it could be. I would breed the first 2 to a buck who throws good attachments.
I would breed Chime to a buck with good attachments but excellent capacity since her are already fairly good. Just my .02

Monkey will be two in may sorry. She wad bred last year due to someone letting the buck see her because he was lonely. We were at a show they were farm sitting ... For the first and last time.
