Shh! Don't tell anyone....
... it's really sheep!
Mama Draighean, ewe lamb Raignailt (the red), and as yet unnamed mostly-white ewe lamb.

Katie: They're Katahdin hair sheep, and aren't the colors interesting? Until I saw them, I didn't know how colorful sheep can be, either.
Otter: A very small flock, but I like them. Sure are easier birthers than the goats... Shhh!
OB: Thanks.

Draighean lambed in the chicken house, and they've been holed up in there the past few days b/c of the weather. We left the small chicken door open for the birds to get in/out, but the big door shut to keep the sheep in. Didn't want the goats abusing the lambs, either.
Raignailt decided to go adventuring. Got her little body through the bird door, and stood outside of the shed calling for Draighean, we've no idea how long. Still, she wasn't starving, and you can bet she has not wandered far from her dam's side since she got back in!

Those sure are some fine-lookin', healthy-lookin', sturdy-lookin' lambs! Is that you in the pics, too? You're a purty lady!

Aww! Glad you found her quick! They are adorable. DH wants sheep, maybe this fall. Like you, a tiny flock - just enough to call a flock.

If you had posted they were some breed of goat I've not heard of, I'd have believed you!
All three of them are beautiful. Loved the story about the little one fitting out the henhouse door....
