Do you ever just get that feeling....

of something is going to happen in the barnyard? I have 5 girls that I believe are pregnant. Some seem to be more than others. I checked on them after work today and I can't explain the feeling I got when I saw them. It's like they are trying to keep a secret and are afraid one of them is going to tell me. To me, it looks like 3 are pretty close...like any day now close. One of them is a FF and her ligaments seem loose, but she hasn't really got much of an udder to speak of. The other one always has hers in secret. She doesn't have that "broken tail" look ever, but if you blink you'll miss her giving birth LOL. She seems to have a very tight udder and today doesn't really look as pregnant as she did yesterday. She's the one that I think has the secret that she's afraid everyone is going to tell LOL. I caught her last year and I don't think she was too happy to have me watching when she had her baby

Yep secrets of the barnyard: Keep a close eye on the one that looked more pregnant yesterday then today, she's probably the one with the barnyard secret

I can't tell you how many times I've had that "get out to the barn now!" feeling only to arrive just in time for a difficult birth, or animal having just given birth and babies needing help, or some other emergency that would have been very bad if left much longer. the times I haven't listened to that feeling I've regretted it. I feel strongly that God lets me know when I'm really needed out there.

Goats ARE good secret keepers.... and there IS a "Doe Code".... which is why we are allowed a sixth sense. It helps even the score.

That storm is coming through our way tonight so maybe some of yours are waiting for today, the storm should be coming through your area first & sometimes that sets things in motion.

Yea...when I went out to check on them last night and saw the full moon I thought for sure there would be babies. Oh well, maybe it's just the full moon making them act goofy
