Question Anti-toxin Questions

Putting in a Jeffers order, and experiencing a bit of confusion.

For treating bloat, I want tetanus anti-toxin, Not CD-T vaccine, right?

TIA!

That is correct. c&d anti-toxin for treating bloat.
c/d/t Toxoid is the vaccination given once or twice a year.

The anti-toxin comes in a bigger bottle

It treats more than bloat & last year was hard to get a hold of so it's good to keep a bottle on hand for the just in case scenario's.

I always (try to) remember this:

Tox - OID = to a VOID.

Tox -IN for the poi-ZIN. (poison)

Hope that helps a bit.

You want the C/D anti-toxin, not the tetanus anti-toxin, for bloat.

I do keep tetanus anti-toxin on hand for wethering/disbudding kids that get powdered colostrum.
