Re-breeding but kidding on first date

Has anybody here had a doe breed, come back in heat, stand for a buck, but kid on the first due date?

I have a doe that I AI'd that would be due in 2 days. She came back in heat 19 days later, and was livebred, so would be due in 3 weeks. Her udder is about as full as the doe I have that is due tomorrow, and her ligaments are getting a little loose...much looser than the other doe I have due in 3 weeks. Hmm, I would love if the AI took!!

If this is what you want, my fingers are crossed for you!

Just this afternoon I was randomly wondering if a doe could/would go into heat even if she were pregnant.... I'm looking forward to the responses here....

I have a doe I am questioning the same thing on! Except we still have a while to see on my girl. When I asked on here people said yep it most certainly is possible and has happened before to them. So I would say yes it can happen?

I really hope that's the case with Cocoa. She was bred last month but I noticed her flagging her tail and her vulva a little swollen. She runs from the buck rag though so I really hope she took because I don't want to have to drive to Rexburg again.

Blood test her in 10 days, Squeaky! I kind of wish I'd have tested Galaxy when she was 30 days from the first breeding (so, would have only been 11 from the second and should have shown if the first took or not). It will be interesting to see what happens to say the least. She was most definitely interested in letting the buck mount her the second heat, so I dunno. The first one was also CIDR/Lute/PG600 induced, because I was taking her as a teaser doe to a buck collection.

Frosted Mini's with my doe I was CERTAIN she came back into heat but I ended up missing it (was to busy to get her bred and by the time I was able to she was out of "heat"). So I waited until her next "heat" and she never seemed interested in getting bred! I just left the buck in with her overnight and called it good since she didn't come into "heat" after that night.

But I was looking at her just a few weeks ago and I could swear she was starting to show her pregnancy already, which was impossible since she was supposed to only be a month pregnant. So now I am thinking she actually took on the first breeding 2 "heats" before but only time will tell. Something my mom LOVES to tell me..."You know they where bred when you see two feet sticking out the back end" .

Aimee and Frosted Mini's like this.

I have one that stands 5 days after first breeding and again at 21 days and holds to the first breeding. So yes, they can come into heat after being bred.

Yep! Our 3 year old, 2nd freshener delivered triplets today...2 girls and a boy. She was in heat on Sept 23....put her with the buck...he bred her with her standing for him and slobbering all over him. So, makes sense that she delivers today. HOWEVER, we both saw her come into standing heat again in Oct and had a 2nd due date of March 12. Obviously we didn't need the second date. lol(maybe SHE did!!)
