One of our ND FFs, Triple Ripple, looks like she lost her mucous plug today. Lots of checking and pictures as soon as possible coming!

Went out to check on her and she was on the ground starting to push! Got stuff ready, called out the wife and kids, and watched Triple birth twins! One buckling and one doeling. Was an amazingly easy kidding from what I had read. Will have pics in the morning! Less than an hour from checking on her to twins!

Little holstein buckling!

Our oldest daughter is working on naming the doeling. Up for some HT naming ideas for the buckling

They inherited pretty much all of their coloring from their sire. Mom is tri-colored brown, black, and white.

Buckling had a very rough day. This morning, he was doing great, up and moving, making noise, and going for food. A couple hours later, DD9 found him limp. Brought him in, made a call to one of our goat expert friends, and noted he was cooling, wouldn't stand, and was craning his head back. Friend got here and we started working with him. Got a little milk in him, but he wasn't responding well. Got him some BoSe, tubed some milk into his stomach twice, had him wrapped in a warming pad, and watched him almost die. Even told DD9 she should be ready in case he did die.

Fast forward about 4 hours and buckling started coming around. He is now back up, ravenous for milk, and is all around doing a LOT better. Now he is going to be a bottle baby and needs a name . Figure if he can survive a brush with death, he deserves to be named. So I am coming to the forums to see if we can get him a name worthy of him.
