Redose with Exodus?

Do you redose with Exodus? How long after the first dose?

Ahhh, it dawned on me. It's a brand of horse dewormer. Pyrantal Pamoate.

I don't use that product, so maybe someone else that is familiar with that will chime in. I'm guessing it's one of those that isn't very effective in goats.

I don't know about goats, but it's not very effective on horses in my area.

It's a cheaper version of Strongid that goat raisers use.

It would work on tapeworms. Not so much on barberpole.

The above link is the 1 I refer to when needing to worm any of the goats here. I hope it helps.

I haven't had a fecal on him in a long time but he's extremely skinny so I'm going to worm him. I just treated him for cocci because he had diarrhea but that I think was triggered from too much Sweet 16. He's always been thin and never fills up like a normal goat but even down to -30 F a few winters ago he never shivered.

He was wormed with Valbazen earlier last fall.

Do you redose for bloodworms? How long after the first dose of wormer?

If he is really bad yes redose in 10 days. Then do a fecal to make sure it is working. Otherwise you will lose him. He could probably use some probios after all the meds too.

Do wormers upset the gut bacteria?

Any chemical is going to upset rumen flora. Coccidiostats do too. I usually give probios or yogurt afterwards. I am using the replamin plus now that have added probiotics so I don't use the probios like I used to.
