Hormones are going crazy around here!

I had 2 does kid at the beginning of January. They both immediately came into heat & continued cycling repeatedly throughout January. Now I have a 6 week old buck extending & spraying his face/legs, also blubbering like a fool. The 6 week old doeling is flagging, rubbing against the buck fence & acting like a complete hussy. Needless to say, her mom & her are not joining the main herd yet. I will be keeping a couple of fences between them & the buck. Going out later today to band the buckling. The hormones are driving me nuts.

Oh yes, same thing here since November. Sold my buck so that I wouldn't have any unexpected pregnancies this year and the darn little bucklings were born ready to go. The are now and have been for quite a while wethers cause their sisters were cycling very early as were their mothers. I will have no kids in 2013. My poor does had 2 sets of kids in 2012 and they will have this year off....darn it!
