question about bio-tracking samples

I am sending samples to bio tracking, but have a question. If I want to test for CAE and pregnancy, do I send two vials of 2cc or one vial of 4cc or one vial of 2cc? Instructions just say 2cc of blood but doesn't say if that's per test. Thanks for reading my possibly dumb question.

Just send them 2cc. It's enough for both tests. Never hurts to go over but if you get at least 2cc, you're good.

Yup, just 2cc is needed. You can get your CAE & pregnancy done, and if you want, Biotracking can send that same sample to WADDL for a fee and you can have it tested for CL there as well.

I usually pull at least 3cc just too be safe

Thank you. The vet is actually drawing blood to test for everything but she said the lab they use is slow with the CAE results. I am going to get her to draw an extra tube on each and I will send those to bio tracking for pregnancy test and a quick CAE result.

I had an extremely uncooperative buck, and only managed to get about 1/2 cc out of him & it was enough!!! They ran the test & he came back negative!!

How much extra does it cost to have Biotracking forward samples to WADDL? And how is the paperwork handled?

I just called them last week to ask about this. They charge $10 to transfer the blood to WADDL, and you have to get paperwork from WADDL and include it with the sample

Yup, I called and talked to them about it. If you have questions, call and chat with them, they are really helpful.

It's a $10 fee to forward your samples on, whether you're sending 1 tube or 100 tubes. You will need to have WADDL forms filled out, and pay the testing fee to WADDL for whatever test you have run.
