Pocket Goats

One of the Nigies kidded yesterday afternoon. (Not to rub it in, but the irony does not escape me that here in southern Cali, with the sun shining, this doe kidded in the middle of the day. She obviously has not read The Doe Code!!!) These are the tiniest baby goats I have ever seen! They are not mine, but they sure are CUTE!

This little fellow was just washed and on his way back to the pen:

How Cute!! I would say over the years most of mine have kidded during daylight hours but not always! There's always got to be a few renagades in the bunch!

Tambo, he really wasn't happy. He had a hard time, his Mama wanted nothing to do with him (or his two sisters either -FF- but they followed her around whereas), he did not stand up for the longest time, much less walk. :/ But he's hanging in there today.

His coat is remarkable. The black parts are short, thick, and velvety. The white parts are much longer, less dense, and coarser. He has a thick white mohawk mop atop his darling face.... with those white blue eyes....
