Fiber Goats

Is anyone here raising fiber goats? (I thought I posted this once before, but I could never find it anywhere, so perhaps it evaporated into the internet ether, compliments of an iPhone that should be seeing it's life pass before it's eyes..... Forgive me if this is a double post.)

A few months ago I almost purchased a darling little fiber goat advertised on CL. The deal breaker was when the seller admitted she had lice. She claimed that ALL fiber goats have lice. Can anyone tell me if this is true? It seems to me, in my complete ignorance mind you, that shaving and a good bath would rid a baby of lice..... Thoughts?

The seller also told me they grow slower than milk goats. Has anyone found this to be true?

Are the nutritional needs of fiber goats different from the needs of dairy goats?

Im considering getting angora goats. First lice would be the least of my concern for a decent animal its easy to get rid of. My concern is they are more prone to illness. You dont feed them high protein as you would meat or dairy and yes they are slower to mature.
They sure are cute though hubs forbids me to have a poodle so thats close as ill get to one.
