Rough start to kidding season

So I built a new kidding barn in the off season still not all the way completed yet once its done it will be nice 24 pens and a 24x12 hospital room.

We started out a rough season lost some babies and does. Waiting for the report back from U.C. Davis. I believe that is where the vet sent the necropsy to be done.

But we do have 33 kick and screaming baby goats and sheep on the ground with about 40 more does to go.

I was going to post pics but I have misplaced my phone. more like probably lost.

It sounds like you've been crazy busy!

For that, we'll forgive you for the lack of pics.

Oh, for maybe a whole week

I can't even imagine having that many goats! Sounds like a wonderful maternity ward you are building. If you take pics of the babies for us please take pics of that too

sounds like you will have a wonderful set up when you get it finished... I love our kidding barn.. it only has 4 8x8 kidding stalls.. but they are only in there for the actually delivery, as soon as they pass their afterbirth.. she goes back to the herd (I pull all the kids at birth).. so four pens work out well for us.. however if we grow the herd any larger, I might need a couple more.. Are you installing cameras? life has improved so much for us during kidding season with the addition of the kidding barn AND the cameras.. this year I splurged and bought a new camera system with eight cameras (we had been using just two)... it arrived yesterday.. can't wait to get it set up.. no more does hiding where I can't get a clear view of the *rear end action * LOL..

congrats on all the new babies

Yours is great A-one 5 star hotel rating from what you've posted in the past.
