OT My GP is due soon. getting excited

When I bought my puppy GP last year, the breeder talked me into buying a retired breeder GP to train him. I asked if she had been fixed and she said no but she won't have any more because when they are older, they tell the boys No in no uncertain terms.

I have seen her tell him no but once, he was too fast because the neighbor saw them tied. According to the calculator I found online, she could have them anytime between yesterday and next week.

Lambie has milk already but she didn't get very big so I don't think it will be a large litter. If it wasn't for the milk , she wouldn't even look pregnant.

I keep checking on her but she acts her normal loving self.

It's windy tonight and Henry is barking at everything. I can't seem to get to sleep between his barking and thinking about her and the gerbils and Chloe. I am sleeping in my DD18 room tonight because she is babysitting and her dog Chloe just has to have a human to sleep with. The gerbils wheels are driving me nuts lol. I have to be up at 430 in the morning. ugghh lol so going to try to go to sleep again.

I can't wait to be able to post some puppy pics but I would be even happier if they were kid pics!

It's raining now but couldn't sleep so went to check on Lambie. Still nothing. I know that she has done this several times before but this is new for me. I keep praying that everything goes well, especially if I am not there.

Good luck with the kidding, it's always scary the first time, but they know what they are doing. It rarely goes wrong, and if you have any concerns - post on here, you'll get lots of support and advice.

Do you have a warm nest area for your GP?

Yes. She generally sleeps with the goats in the shed which has deep straw bedding. It is always nice in there even when windy because whoever built it put the door on the south side and wind here is almost always from the north.

Emily said it was best to keep her with the goats. I just now thought that I should have called Lambie's previous owner to see if she usually stayed with the goats during this. I will call her today to check.

The indoor puppy Chloe that is my DD18 moved my glasses while I was sleeping! I can't find them and both kids slept away from home last night so I can't ask them to help me. When I made my way to the bathroom, my contact case barely had any wetness. I added some solution and got to give them awhile to make sure they are hydrated before I attempt to put them in. ugghh lol

gotta think positive. It's going to be a great day!
