This is what I woke up to today!

39 & fairly decent yesterday then blowing & snowing at 11:30 last night while thundering. It was weird.

Of course non of the goats or other farm critters want to go outside.

Today 18 degree's with windchill only 4 I think the news said.

I woke up to the same thing! It's quite peaceful and very pretty. Tomorrow morning 8am they are saying -4. I was too afraid to look at the windchill factor

The snow is always pretty Jill but man is it cold out there today! I'm happy now that chores are done to just watch out the window.

All this time I thought you were in Mississippi. I think it must be Minnesota. One of those OTHER Mi states.

Eww white vomit, no thanks!
I have had enough of snow already, not to mention below freezing temps. Thankfully here it has been in the 50's the past few days so I have gotten outside things done. I am sure it won't last, March is the worst month for snow here and I dread it, I prefer rain and mud

It's pretty, but you can keep it up there. I'm ready for spring and snow is so not spring.

Today, it is supposed to reach 70* here...and I hope to get LOTS of stuff done outside while the weather holds. I hope, I hope, I hope!

We are supposed to get more rain this week. Maybe I'll have the new stall done by then.

Yep, Michigan Alice.
Wouldn't be so bad but very strong winds today with gusts that are unbearable! I can take the cold temp's & snow no problem but nothing likes the wind.

Mine, thaiblue & dbarjacres I would think all of your weather would be worse than ours.

Yarrow, I heard some part of Missouri got over 3 inches of snow.

I'm ready for a little warmer weather!

I love going out to the shed to clean when it is snowing or raining hard to have my little dears slowly raise their heads up, maybe get up and let a shower of little goatie berries fall or stretch then come over to look to see what I brought them. Not one of them has ever said"Oh you poor thing- having to come out in such weather. What can I do to help."

We got the hen house cleaned out and the goat pen reconfigured and ready for Belly Bean and Missy to come back home in March.

For at least one week (and I am not exaggerating), I've looked at the weather forecast, and Every Day, it shows that about 2-3 days from then, it will be just a bit warmer, like low 30s for highs and teens for lows...but the day after tomorrow, just never comes. It's kind of depressing. -3 tonight, -1 tomorrow night, then supposedly, not below 16 after that...supposedly. We'll see if we ever catch up to "the day after tomorrow". We are also having an inversion, so that keeps it cold too.

Cold? Are you getting the 'lake effect' over there Backforty? We are forecasted to be -15 and -20 the next two nights, with wind chill advisory down to minus 40 through Tuesday. You are a bit south of us, but much closer to a Great Lake than we are.
Stay warm!! I hate kidding in January for this very reason....

Yes, even colder this week. We are on the east side of the state though so no lake effect for us usually unless it's a really big storm blowing across the state.

No winter babies here because it's just too cold.
