TIN MOM!!! We have a buckling.

It was not an easy kidding or a girl but both Cherry and little guy (Dunkin as we call him) is here and fine now. He had a hard time coming out and we find out that might be because hes 8 lbs 3 oz. He is pattern like his mom but has his daddies color.

He came out and within seconds he was sucking away on everything. So he got his heat treated colostrum (she gave us about 2 cups) and he drank it down with no issue.

Before I forget can he have our goats milk we have in our freezer? He drank most of his colostrum already and I know we will be out before I can milk Cherry again.

So here you go Mr Dunkin.

You can milk the mom again...it will be good for her production to get the stimulation from frequent milkings.

Oh really this I did not know. I figured once she was empty she was done for awhile. Thanks I will try again before bed.

I thought 8 lbs was average for full size kids? He looks like such a buck kid too...always looking for food!

Haha I had to actually go back and look at the photos to see what you are talking about. That is my Tator Bug. She is the one that got listeriosis or Goat Polio here a month or so go. She is still weak from it and got down a few nights ago when it was like 11 outside and couldn't get back up so she is in the house. And very very very upset there is a baby in here.

Earth kitty - The dog in the last photo is Titan. He takes being a "mom" very seriously.

Totally off-topic, but I WANT that adorable chi-weenie-looking dog that is standing on your couch. We had what we think was a min pin/chihuahua mix for 15 years and she looked similar to your doggie. We had to have her put down 3 years ago in March and we all still miss her terribly. I've been scouring craigslist every day for quite a while looking for a little dog like that, and it seems that I'm either too late in responding, or the people getting rid of her are a bit scary, so I'm afraid to go to their house!
