Excellent job (I think knowing how to tube & having the equipment to do it.. is one of the most important things if you are going to breed)... might not need to do it often, but it is such a life saver...Pebbles, the doe that wintrwolf got this past spring.. she was punky and wouldn't nurse... we tubbed her every 4 hours for days upon days... suddenly one day bam.. it' all kicked in.. "oh, this is how you suck on a nipple" ..she never looked back. (the save a kid syringes are cheap and so easy to use... I buy extras each year, so everytime someone has a weak kid/lamb and needs me to help tube it.. I can actually not just tube them, but TEACH the owner how and then SEND a tubing kit home with them..
I will add this, if you have a kid that you end up having to tube again & again..I have much better luck when we also give a BUFFALO hump of ringers every 4 hours (I take a 30cc syringe and make a big hump of ringers under the skin between their shoulders)...
