I use the 3ml ones.

DO NOT GET LAVENDER TOPS. Those contain an addetive. You want red top or serum seperator tubes (marble top)

To draw blood I just use 3ml syringes with a 20ga 1" needle. Much easier than anything else I've tried, IMO. Then you stick the needle through the rubber stopper on the glass tube and the blood will be sucked into the tube under vaccuum.

It is much cheaper (at least much cheaper than Biotracking) to just buy them from a vet clinic (usually). I had my father-in-law who is a vet order a box for me this time, but I have bought them pretty inexpensively from vet clinics before. Don't worry about expiration dates on the red-top tubes-there really isn't anything to expire...so if the rubber stopper and the tube looks fine, then it is fine to use.

Air-Tite has the cheapest prices I've found. You have to call them the first time after placing your order online to tell them you have a farm. From then on out it is just on your account.

You have to buy an entire case of everything though. I usually buy everything I'll need for a year, I'm still working on my red top tubes and double needle collectors from a few years ago. If you only have 1 or 2 goats try and find someone local you can buy a few from.
