Question for all :)

I was out doing hooves today and got my little Chime up on the stand and after I was finished with and her "sister" I walked over to my Chimers and was loving on her. She is bred to G-Mo (Tin Mom's buckling we bought) and I thought it was for February 22nd kids. You could feel and see the kids kicking her while she stood there and drank water. So now what is the soonest time line have you seen this?

We luted her (He broke in) in Augest thinking she was to small but after talking with our breeder and getting a better weight on her we put her back in with him in at the end of September. So now I am wondering if it did not work and if it did not will the kids come out messed up? lol

Is she pretty large or does she seem more stretched them the others? Some I can tell sooner them others depending on how many and the doe.

Feb. 22nd isn't that far off, about 6 weeks I think. I think you can see babies moving 6 weeks before kidding but it's so hard to remember the earliest I've seen movement.

I've never had to use Lute before so not sure if that would make the kids deformed, etc. or not if the pregnancy is actually from August. My guess is she took in September though.

I think (not positive but I think) the vet says if it didn't make her abort, it won't deform the babies. It either does the job or not.

I have had lute kids they come out just fine. Last year the vet told me the wrong dose and it did not work and I had lute kids popping out all over the place.
I would keep an eye on her for the first possible date, then if she does not kid you know it will be the second date, give or take a few days or wanting to squeeze the kids out of her
The Tin Mom likes this.

Thanks everyone. I hope she goes in February only because I hate having one doe kidding at a time. I wanted their babies to have buddies encase there was a singleton. But I guess what ever happens happens.
