New feeding plan update

Well the goats and mini donks have not noticed the decrease in BOSS/oats whatsoever.
Me, on the other hand., I have notice MANY differences going wheat free. This is not a complaint...just an observation. I am spending way more time in the kitchen preparing food and cleaning up after cooking food. I am spending way more time in the grocery store reading labels and scratching my head in confusion. I am spending way more money on food. My refrigerator contents look completely different. I am eating more than I ever have. I have lost 3 lbs. I have had a couple of great nights sleeping long and hard. My hair seems more oily.

This is only a week into it....I am determined to get through the learning curve. I told the back Dr. about it today and he looked at me like I was a nut case.

I LOVE my "Eat for your blood type" diet. I am a vegetarian so that part is easy. It is easy for me to eat the diet...what is hard is the diet doesn't fit my lifestyle. No bread except Ezekial. (Look on www.azurestandard.com, they sell the Ezekial bread - made by Food for Life) It is an 80-20 deal so it doesn't mean never but it is hard to get the 80% without tomato, potato, bread, pasta, cheeses (except mozzarella), etc., without being VERY creative sometimes. When I am on the run it's tough. I am trying though.

Good Job Michele!

I am very happy with the food I'm eating. It's just hard. (waaa!!) When I lived int the Twin Cities it was so much easier...Better shopping, Better produce and a lot more options. Here in the middle of nowhere I have to "work" to make this happen lol!! I am bound and determined to get my back in shape. I need it! My goats need my back to be ok (just look at their hooves right now...ugh!) My horses need it. Everyone needs mama's back to be strong and healthy!
It's funny Gena that you say you LOVE the diet but it doesn't fit your lifestyle... I can totally relate to that! We need you healthy so keep it up as best as you can! (((hugs)))

Yessum, it takes a while to adjust. Just think, you don't have to spend any time in the middle of the grocery store! I just shop the veggies, meat, and pick up some eggs. LOL

Hubby makes his own breakfast, so I don't have to cook in the AM. We are sort of taking turns on lunch cooking, but I'm having a *grand* time trying out new recipes. Supper is often salad or a cheese and fruit plate.

Tonight's salad supper had homegrown lettuce and spinach, chopped apple, shredded carrots, onions, bacon, grapes, tomatoes, goat cheese, and homemade salad dressing. I should have thrown some chopped pecans in (homegrown, too), but I got distracted by NCIS.

I am SURE I am over complicating it. That is usually how I start anything new. I'm trying to do it perfect. I know that. One of the benefits of getting older is knowing myself better and recognizing exactly what I'm doing (aka, wisdom) lol! I just need to get into a flow of some sort. The main thing is that I remember it is not only for my health but for the health of all my babies! I need my back. I need my elbows. Without them nothing gets done around here!

We had leftover pork roast that I made in the crock pot yesterday and about a lb of fresh green beans that I stir fired with olive oil and added slivered almonds. I'm FULL!
