Anyone else with a doe like this?

My LM doe will NOT let us anywhere near her belly (she's due the first week of March). If we touch her sides, she throws her head around and bucks, then drops her head, just daring us to try again. We can rub her face, head, chin all day long, but we don't dare touch her belly (unless we want a good laugh)!

Better get that milk stand built and start training her! What is her favorite treat?

Yep, sounds like she just needs a little training. Their udders I think do get kindly ticklish when it gets close to kidding to though.

No, it's not her udder, it's her sides or her belly. I broke her to the stand when I bought her in March. She wasn't like this over the summer; it only happened once she was bred. I do still have my rope handy for hobbling once she kids though

I have one like that: when she is pregnant, she is REALLY ticklish. I mean VERY! You can hardly get your hand on her sides or underneath her.

Once she has kidded, she settles right down on the milk stand without a problem. But MAN don't touch that tummy or udder when she is preggers!
