Unhappy Not Happenin'

AAARRRGGGHHH!!! Christmas babies did not happen & it doesn't look like they'll happen today, either! Mama-to-be is still VERY pregnant, lounging around, chewing her cud

You would think she'd be more eager to unload that belly. What a stinker. She's pretty though so that makes it okay.

Dont feel alone Nehimama, most of us have been there.
Shoot just a couple weeks ago a doe had dropped a teeny tiny bit. Got her to a stall & she let me know she was in right place at the wrong time.
She's still waddeling around with the herd. She's not real friendly but she can gaze into my eyes & drive me nuts with a look I cannot interpret.
Your doe is lovely!

Just post a bunch about how there are no babies, none to be seen for miles! Then you'll go down to the barn to find them dry and sleeping under that heat lamp just to prove you wrong.

You should go out of town. It worked for me. I guestimated the date she was due and was wrong! She delivered two healthy babies just in time for the Christmas day feeders to oohhhh and ahhh over.

Looks like she's primed and ready to go - just that photo is telling, I see goo string from her and her pose - is she scratching herself or babbling to her kids?

I was laughing with DH about this post as I was a train-wreck by the time Salma finally kidded, first time goat babies for me. She lay about panting, chewing her cud and looking inscrutable for about 4 days (and 4 sleepless nights). There was a daily post on here and half the forum will wait with you!

Dont forget those mandatory pics when it does happen! My bet is within 12 hours from that photo...have her lligaments gone around her tail yet?

Oh, ignore what I said in the other post then.

I was wondering if she was actually going to kid; her udder doesn't look real full. I bet it is filling even more now though. And really, I should know better, because I used to have a doe that would not fill her udder very much until awhile after kidding.
