way OT I may be an aunt today!

I wanted to share quickly. My sister went into labor at 3 this morning. Her contractions are still 7 min apart, but I am rooting for an "end of the world baby." Her dude date WAS the 12, so shes about a week and a half over due. Im rooting for a boy!

Hope everything goes as planned! I'm chuckling about "dude date". You sure ARE hoping for a boy, aren't you?

Hahaha I guess I was so excited I forgot to check my spelling :=)

She is having a home water birth which will be a first for our family. A little nerve wracking but I have full faith in her midwife.

Well it could be a girl since your sister is overdue and she wants to make a big entrance....fashionably late

Or he/she could be taking after the goats lol. You know they like to be contrary with things like due dates.

Good Luck to your sister, I hope she has an easy birth and a healthy baby.

Well the baby is still taking his sweet time. Expect a little brown baby. Her husband is from america samoa. So, I am expect light brown with a curly head of black hair! I am seriously bummed that I have to work tonight. Going to be sad if I miss the birth. I will make sure to update as soon as we know all the good details. When I left she was 6 min apart.

Fortunately I made it to work safely. The roads are still horrible here.

I was thinking about having a midwife/homebirth, so glad I didn't! I went to the hospital because I was worried about living 30 mins from the nearest hospital in case of emergency. Well, I hemorrhaged real bad and could have died...I still did everything all natural...doc's said my body was just too tired and uterus was not contracting well post delivery. I passed out and was shocky.

Sorry, this does not provide any comfort I'm sure. But, your sis will probably be just fine! Not a lot of people have these issues; I was just one of the "lucky" few, I guess. The midwife will surely know what to do if there is a problem.

UGH! She's only ONE measly cm dialated. How is that possible with all these contractions! It may be awhile. Midwife instructed us all to go home. She said priscilla cant be turned into the "watched pot.".

What a coincidence! My DIL was due on 12-12-12 & she just had her twins tonight! A boy (9lb 1oz) and a girl (10lb 10oz). Unfortunately she had to have a c-section since they were both breech, 9 days over due and Lilith was showing some distress.

I'm hoping for a healthy baby boy for you!

Go HOME? But everyone is supposed to be sitting around, discussing every day things, and keeping her company!

Besides, that 1 centimeter can turn into a full 10 centimeter in less than 5 minutes flat. Ask me how I know.
