Here is the outdoor half of the girl's habitat:
And here is the indoor half:

You can't see in the piccy, but we put up wire panels over the wood frame of the barn indoors and out that is exposed to the goaties to keep the girls and kids from eating the walls...
In the round pen the whole herd was in, we had a terrible time getting hands on our little tricolor doe, but the new environment basically made her a different goat. I guess she felt like the open space was too open and she needed to run away-- now she's a lot more relaxed and we can handle her for the first time without trauma-- who knew??
The babes sure love hanging out in the barn staying out of the chilly wind!
The ladies have nice, clean, quiet neighbors on one side...
(Those are broad breast white hens and 2 very young fall fire toms)
But no neighborhood is complete without *those* neighbors.... loud... messy... randy....immoral... ducks and geese. For pure entertainment of course.
I like how the pen came out... I think I'm going to collect on all that free sod people dump on craigslist in spring and put it down. It would be perfect with some grass in.
