Now I am questioning Birdie's parenting skills. Got an update from DH. Kid stands and walks around, but everytime he was watching, and the kid tried nursing, Birdie would move away from the kid. So DH held birdie firm (kinda like a milk stand) would hold her front end, and put the kid in between the hind legs, she would move like someone was hurting her. I know she has kidded before successfully. I mean, she had twins before, Paisley is her daughter, and her son Jagger was excellent freezer stock. And now she, even though she has unlimited hay right now, she just left the shed to go forage. Do they usually leave their kids? Is this baby going to have to be a bottle baby? Is she feeding it when we aren't looking? Should I just try to pin her in one spot and milk her?
