New collars (pics)

Jeffers had a 2am-5am Cyber Monday sale, and some collars were marked down, plus I got 15% off my order..... So while buying my fence charger (the reason I was up at 2am) & syringes, I added new collars for the Jr does...

Here is Rosie & Tricks showing off their girly collars my daughter picked out.... Tricks looks great in hot pink

More coming in next post...

Ok, 4 failed attempts and I give up.... The uploader worked well for the 1st post, but won't put the rest up, so back to photobucket it is

Mocha looks like her face is crooked, lol caught her mid-chew:

Heidi would not stay still for a decent picture, so I gave up & settled for one that was not blurry.... Hanging out by the feeder on a weird incline, but at least you get to see her pretty red collar

Such nice Girly collars! Are those the plastic coated one's? I've found those a few places now but never on line & I Love them. Even the buck collars don't hold the smell which is great.
I was up for Cyber Monday too, I needed a disbudding iron, if you can believe those words are even coming out of my mouth after more than 6 years!

Thanks all!! I'm kinda embarassed to say these are the babies 1st collars...... Which means we are just now working on lead training, something I usually do when they are tiny... They are doing better than I thought they would

Katie, these aren't plastic coated... Just nylon. They are the 14"-24" ones with metal buckles in the dog section and during my 2am Cyber Monday shopping spree, they were on sale for $2 each, and then I got the 15% off on top of that. So, all the babies got one, plus I grabbed 2 extras

Which iron did you end up getting? I'm so happy I came across the sale when I had to buy a big ticket item like the fence charger.... Ended up getting over $40 off my order

I got the Rhinehart X 30. Next is the tattoo kit but Jeffers didn't have the one I wanted & the other online company wasn't offering any cyber monday specials so I figured I could get that any time before spring.

I'm waiting for Monday though & hoping I get 1 of the incubators they have on sale for their 12 days of Christmas.

They look so pretty! Did they act really proud when you first put them on? Ali acted like Lady from Lady and the Tramp.

So beautiful! And the collars are too, but I only looked at them after I stared at your goats for a while.

I love my X30! Good iron I need to get a tattoo kit, but there are more pressing items on the need list...

LOL! Tricks did!! She was strutting her stuff and then went to talk smack to the grown does through the fence.... She's a lil full of herself Heidi & Rose were indifferent, Mocha was annoyed, tried to scratch hers off..... They could care less that I thought the bargain collars were so pretty

It seems like goats are actually easier to lead train as, say 5-6+ month olds, than as little bitty's. They aren't as spastic as they once were.

Do they have some kind of break away? I'm always too afraid to leave collars on my goats. They are so bad to get in trouble one way or another. Only ever used those plastic chains that can break, which are annoying because they break.

Nope, no break away..... I bought these so I'd have a good handle to control them with. They wear them when we go for our walks outside the fence, and of course, to model for pictures They are hung on a peg outside the gate most of the time

I have some plastic chain collars, but they chew them off each other So they are getting used to this new to them contraption in chew proof form, and once they stop digging/rubbing/chewing at them non-stop, we'll switch to plastic chains for full time collars
