dog log poops/wet back end

Violet, an Alpine Doe was born 3/11, has kidded once.
She is CAE, CL and Johnes neg.

9/29/12 she was given:
CD&T
BO-SE
Copper Bolus
Lysigin
Wormed with Valbazen

Violet has access to Onyx Right Now and baking soda.
Fed alfalfa hay and pellets.
She is housed with one other doe (Princess).

Yesterday I noticed the soft poop, but did not know who it came from.
Today, it is very obvious.

She is alert, up and around and eating, but her temp is 99.6
And of course the soft serve ice cream, dog log shaped poops.

The only variables I can think of are:

It has gotten a bit warmer here (MI) in the day, and chilly at night (frosty mornings)
She has been exposed to the buck on and off since mid Oct.
While moving the goats around, she got on the milking stand a couple of times and ate some of that feed, an oat, corn, BOSS barley mix. She was not eating for very long.

I was thinking some priobotic, until I took the temp.

Any thoughts on what may be going on?

Thank you

First of all, keep her warm. A goat coat or something. Are you sure your thermometer is correct? Test on a other goat. How do her eyelids look? The only probiotic that is really going to help an adult goat is a cud transfer. Listen to her rumen, is it grumbling and then doing a big turn over every 10 seconds or so? Compare rumen sounds to a herd mate. Rumen is on left side behind rib cage btw.

Southern......

Checked with a different thermometer, she is now 100.5 ambient temp has, of course, also risen.

Gut sounds good, nice roll every 15 seconds.

Eyelids, pink.

Any other thoughts?

Give her some Pepto and keep her on only hay and water for a day, leave out the baking soda. Her stomach might be upset and that will help.

Her temp being low is not good so check her herdmates and see what theirs is. If theirs is higher put a coat on her.

Have a fecal done on her (Fecals are pretty cheap at the vet). Ask them to check for basic parasites but also coccidia.

Coccidia in an adult will cause a low temp and soft stool, so that is where my mind went.

But realize a clear fecal this time of year where you are doesn't mean you are clear. Because it may be too cold for them to be triggered to lay eggs.

And ask for a count, you don't want "yep, she's got them". Well duh she's got them, how many is the question!

Gave her the pepto, and a coat.

Her back end is dryer this morning.
Temp still a bit low.

I will have a fecal done.

Thank you.
