He's gone

Bonsai's fight is over with. He died tonight. I have been sitting in the barn for the last hour holding him.

He was so much more than a goat. He was a wonderful goat. He was the next set of dreams I had. He is the thing I was trying to build a future on.

Now, the goat is gone. The dreams are dead and there will be no more baby goats on my farm. I will keep what I have until they slowly die off one by one and I'll grieve the dreams all over again with each one's passing.

Of all animals I have ever dealt with, there is none so kind hearted, so hilarious nor so loving as the goat.

I will never forget him as long as I have breath.

Thanks for listening and trying to help. There will be no necropsy. Can't afford it. He will be buried on the back side of our property and that will be the end of my Buckaroo Bonsai. Rest in peace sweet goatie friend.

Oh Dunroven, I'm so sorry. You worked so hard with Bonsai. I'm sure he must
have known how much you cared.
Thinking of you and yours.

I am so sorry.

While I don't post that much, and I haven't commented previously about what was going on with Bonsai, I have been following what was happening and was truly keeping my fingers crossed for a full recovery for him.

Again......I am sorry. It seems to me that you really went the extra mile for him and I am sure he knew he was loved.

Sorry for your loss. You tried so hard.

Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there. I did not die.

I am so sorry, it does not matter whom someone loves-it is that you did. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Oh Bonsai. You know Valorie loved you. She loved you so much that she shared your life with us here & her struggles to keep you alive.
You were both so brave.
Rest in peace, sweetheart. Hugs to you Valorie.

This, too, is a post I was dreading to see. I, too, have fought these kinds of battles. You and Bonsai were both valiant, it is a tiring fight, though. Valorie, look at how much more you know now than before him...

Maybe, just maybe, the Lord has a different plan....Surely, your husband would be open to that...
