Here's Bonsai!
I brought him outside today so he could soak up some sunshine and warmth. He's laying by our horse trailer. He has moved, although not gotten up to move. He gets around on his knees right now, but he has been trying still. We are trying to figure out what we can put together for a frame to suspend him, but its just not coming together for us to have time between our jobs to get this all done. I still do physical therapy on him though, and I try to get him to stand up to eat his carrots and he's trying very hard to do it.
Anyway, without further adue, here's my Bonsai!

he's getting the following
5 cc of Pen G (only 2 more days of this 7-day course)
6 cc of red cell
2 capsules of B vitamins
2 cartons of Yoplait yogurt
3 baby bottles full of electrolyes
alfalfa hay
rabbit alfalfa pellets
goat pellets
grass hay
water
I can't afford anything else at all right now. We can't even buy food for ourselves at the moment. Lots of reasons, medical bills from husband's recent surgery and lack of work on his part are the reasons for this.
Thanks Minelson! I just love him. I went out and did his therapy this morning and then got a blanket and sat down on the ground next to him, and he just put his head in my arms and leaned against me and went to sleep, burping every few seconds of course! LOLOLOL He didn't want me to get up! He is enjoying the sun though!

Awwww, Valerie! He looks like such a sweety! And so handsome too! I can hardly wait until he is fully recovered and has some of his weight back and we can see him in his full glory!

me too!
He's heavy for me to lug around, but I'm doing my best to get him outside when the weather is good and then haul him back into the barn before dark. I know he weighs about 125, and its like dead weight right now. But when he gets up and moving, I'm sure I'll have a problem keeping him in! LOL I'm working on cleaning out his pen and I'm going to heavily bleach it and then rinse it and let it set for a few days, hopefully in some sunshine before I put him back in it and then we should be good. I got it about half cleaned out today. I have time off Monday again where I can do more on it, so hopefully by Wednesday the bleach and rinse will be done and we'll be ready when he is.

He has a very Gentle face & your doing a great job with him. Sounds like he's progressing pretty good. a week ago he couldn't even get to his knees so his knees is a big accomplishment for him. Keep up the good work.

I can't imagine all you've been thru with him, but considering all that I'd say he's looking good. Keep us posted.
I've tried to follow, but have you determined just what happened?

Ford Zoo
Barberpole worms and they got such a grip before I even knew it. I have been worming 4 times a year with Ivermectin and all "seemed" fine, until this. So at first when he went down, we all thought Johnes, but then he had developed bottlejaw and I completely missed that until he was laying on his side unable to even set up the way he is in the picture. I got the stuff everyone told me to get, and gave him Panacur which he will get again on the 12th and then one more time on the 22nd, at 3x the recommended dose, and that should do it. By the 22nd, I hope this goat is up walking around.
Now everyone, don't let him completely fool you! LOL That loving sweetie gave me a black eye about a year ago! LOL He got out and he charged me and I finally got him by the beard and went to put him in his pen and when I did, he stepped back and I flew forward (it was muddy) and I hit my cheek and my left eye on an I-beam that is part of the wire silo we use as his pen. I cut my cheek open and had a black eye.
This happened on Saturday. Well, I'm a pastor's wife. The next day at church I was asked over and over if I was learning a lesson in submission! LOLOLOLOL
I still have a pretty good scar on my cheek bone from that goat. BUT, let me reiterate, I LOVE MY BONSAI!!!!!!

Oh what a nice looking sweet fellow. When I get asked about bruises around here I just tell them "You should have seen the other guy".
Lord bless your good work.
