waterproof thermo??

ok, my kid dropped my battery operated cheese making, digital thermo. in the sink AGAIN. since I cannot train them to not do this, I need a unit that will withstand it.

I do have the good ph meter, which does have a temp on it, will this be enough??

or any suggestions for somethign waterproof?? argh. and now I have gallons of milk I was ready to cheese up, with no way to temp it?!!
