Lute and when. . .
I know to lute between day 11-14 -
I usually relute 10 days later, to be sure. . .
But I have a doe that I'm starting to fear the lute didn't work on about 3 months ago (yes, I have a few bucks with determination that high fence and electric do not always work on). . .
My reason with this doe is she is coming into milk - but only very marginally so and it hasn't increased over the weeks - the amount in the udder - she has always been precocious, though, and has been dry for over a year, and you will see that sometimes when a higher production doe it left dry a long time. . .so it might not be a breeding at all
If I lute this doe and she is 3 months along into pregnancy, should she experience any issues?
I hate to do it, but I would have no idea who the sire is and it likely would be a cross. . .

So why not just wait and see? If they are crosses don't bother to disbud or castrate and just butcher them a few months down the road. If she's not bred your no worse for the wear.

Creamers doesn't butcher; she's a vegetarian.
There shouldn't be any issues, hon, if you should lute her again. But if she is STILL pregnant from the last two lutes, then she may be resistant and this one won't do anything either.
If you think she got knocked up AFTER the last time you luted, you can try again.
If you don't want her coming into heat again, and possibly deal with ANOTHER athletic fence jumper, why not get a pregnancy test done on her? Then you would know, instead of guessing.
If she is pregnant and making udder, then she is pretty far along. She would be due about six weeks from when she first started making udder. So, there would be a half grown baby(ies) coming out if you lute her that you would have to deal with (bury, whatever).

I was going to suggest a pregnancy test as well in this case. $6.50 with Biotracking. Especially if she has already been luted multiple times.
The fetuses do most of their growing in the last month of pregnancy.
I recall a few abortions at three months gestation (not ones we luted) and the fetuses were about the size of a 3 month old kitten sometimes smaller, assuming I even found them. About 10 inches long according to Goat Biology.

If she is 3 months along I wouldn't do it. I was in this spot last year and the vet told me the wrong lute dose, so I re-dosed them and I wanted to sit there and cry with some of them. Not sure how far along some were but the tiny fetuses made me want to cry with them as they passed them. Last Winter was awful and I almost got out of goats because of it. None were as far as 3 months along but it was still hard on them and me.
I would let it ride, sell the kids cheap if they are crosses and you do not want them, or give them to a 4H kid for free.
ne prairiemama, come over I have goats for sale, you might find a buck or two in your back seat though

ne prairiemama, don't do it unless you are willing to drive home with LOTS of goats! thaiblue is the QUEEN of enablers! You have been warned!
(You should go, though, if what you like are beautiful, healthy, disease-free goats! Just be aware that you WILL come home with more than you planned on!)

My main reason is we have some deposits on Nubian kids for $400 ea and I really need this doe fresh in the spring to be sure I have enough doelings for the sales and to retains a few, but I would bawl if I found 3-4 month pre-term goat kids, too.
These could be purebred or Nigerian/Nubian mixes. I'm not opposed to others eating them, but I wouldn't personally do it.

Could you sell them as mini Nubians? I'm not sure what the market is in your area but a lot of people like them because they are smaller.
